The New 2009-2010 Go Ministries Team
Posted by Brandon Harrison | Filed under News

The new 2009-2010 Go Ministries team just finished bootcamp this past Saturday! We’re already 2 days into classes, rehearsals and ministry and we can already see and sense the different gifts and anointing on this team. God called them and we’re so excited that they chose to answer the call. This won’t be the same Go Ministries you saw last year or in years previous. God has called us to go from glory to glory. As we rely on His Spirit, we will see new things and climb to new levels this year. Here is the team Scripture chosen by the 2009-2010 interns: “…so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit.” – 2 Timothy 4:2 (MSG) This year we will proclaim the Message with intensity, challenging and urging people, across the globe, to suit up and invade.

Hey folks, i am currently writing this from in the studio. We have been here for 3 solid weeks banging drums and hunting for juicy guitar tones. We know you all will really like these songs, they are straight from the Spirit of God and carry an anointing to set the captives free. We have had a blast so far and have caught a bunch of it on camera. So expect studio blog goodness soon. They are going to be full of gear for you gear-heads and funny moments for the rest of you. Hope everyone enjoys.
PS. if you have not seen the blog above (Blog 4), expect a big surprise (big in more ways than one). For the viewers safety, please sit down.

The Southern Tour
Posted by Jason Montgomery | Filed under Fun
On January 28 the road team left for a 68 day tour we like to call the southern tour (The South = our favorite place to be during those cold Minnesota months). The final days of the tour were spent in Iowa (not so southern) before we went home to see the 5-fold. We are currently finishing up our west cost tour and are excited to see the 5-fold again after 65 days. With only one week between the southern tour and west coast tour the whole road team feels as if it has been one giant 5 month Invasion. But just because we are home does not mean we stop, when we get back to the ranch the drama team will start preparing for the large summer conferences such as Champion 4 Christ and the Southwest Believers Convention and the worship team will begin to record the new album. Stay tuned for more invasion action.

Studio Blog Episode 1

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… well, actually it was in Minnesota only 3 weeks ago, we finished recording our first song: Reach. We had a blast in the studio but missed Mike (rhythm guitar), Jordon (bass), and Rachel (background vocal), who all could not be there due to other commitments. We hammered the song out without them and just heard the mastered copy today. GOD IS GOOD, because it sounds amazing. Brian Powers is an anointed producer and we know you all will enjoy the sound of the next CD. So keep checking the blog page for more goodies.

Extreme Makeover: Children’s Church Edition
Posted by Brandon Harrison | Filed under Fun
The School of Art & Design (myself, my wife – Jenna, Leah & Davina) just got back last night from re-designing a children’s room for Family Worship Center down in Carrollton, KY! The children’s room was huge – about 60ft long and one side of the room had walls that were 15ft tall! It took a lot of hard work and almost 60 hours to complete the whole project but we finished just in time. There were plenty of fun and crazy moments from me spilling a ton of black paint on the carpet to driving with a 16ft piece of lumber in my mid-sized truck that only has a 5ft bed! We had an absolute blast and are so happy with the results – and so are the kids, which is what matters the most. Not only did we get to design the children’s room but I was also blessed to work on a few logo projects for the church. I also had the opportunity to preach at their youth group on Wednesday night, which was such an honor and so much fun! We had never done something like this in Go Ministries / The School of Art & Design before, but I believe we will be doing much more of this for churches in the future! Here are some pictures of us working away as well as some of the main final pieces of the designs:

Basketball Fundraiser
Posted by Brandon Harrison | Filed under Fun

This past Saturday night we played some of the Living Word staff in our first basketball game fundraiser. We had a great turnout and had an absolute blast! We made tons of concessions from popcorn and cotton candy to cookies and coffee. Not only was the night fun (and delicious), but in the process we raised over $1,100 towards intern tuition! We’re definitely going to do this event annually and trust me – it’s going to get bigger and better every year! It was tough playing without the other half of our team though (the road team). Not only because we missed them but we really could have used more players!
Thank you to everybody who came out and made this event so much fun! And, a special thank you to the Living Word staff who volunteered their Saturday night to help us raise money – we had a blast playing with you guys! We can’t wait to do this again next year!

The Blog is live!!!

I am very excited that the blog is up and running, and not just because it looks good
The whole blog really sprang from our desire to stay better connected with everyone that we met. It’s very hard to describe what happens in our ministry and a lot of people are really curious as to what our life is really like. So, here it is for the whole world to see. You will come to find (if you haven’t already) that the Go Ministries you see on-stage is the same Go Ministries you will see off-stage. The only difference may be that instead of jumping around during “free stuff” we’re jumping off cliffs! After all, we live our lives “95/5″. If you have never heard us quote that it means this: only 5% of our ministry is on-stage and 95% is off-stage. Our passion is for Jesus Christ and for our generation, and passion is a lifestyle – not a stage act.
We won’t just be posting our funny randomness, pictures, and videos. We also want to encourage and strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ by sharing with you what He is speaking to us. We don’t want a Go Ministries service to be an occasional or once-a-year experience. Rather, we want it to be a continuation of relationships and spiritual growth. We love you all and hope you enjoy this as much as we will!
